Ferry Sabam Samosir reaches +23 years of combined working experiences in non-for profit organization and private sector within the 9 Indonesian Provinces and 27 districts. Ferry’s career is begun when worked for company of transmigration resettlement project, before continue to a cash crops plantation. He changed his career into non for profit when worked for Care International Indonesia through a silk value chain project in 2002 in West Java. His next career was as an Agriculture Project Manager for World Relief US / Tearfund UK under Aceh disaster management responses in Aceh Barat. He continue to work for Oxfam Great Britain as Agriculture Team Leader for Nias earthquake response. In 2009 he was assigned by Swisscontact as Manager for an M4P Project, namely Rural Economic Activity Development in Aceh Tamiang. It worked on rubber and palm oil value chain project. His next mission was as Component Manager for Swisscontact’s project of Regional Tourism Development beyond Bali, namely WISATA. In the second phase of project, Ferry held Deputy Program Manager for Tourism Destination in Selected Destinations in Indonesia, that worked in Flores, Toraja, Wakatobi and Tanjung Putting until mid 2018. After the WISATA Project, Ferry now holds position as Deputy Project Manager for Sustainable Tourism Destination, Technical Assistance for destination development planning and Lead Advisory function for Monitoring and Result Measurement of Swisscontact Indonesia Program.
