Within UPC Netherlands / Ziggo, I was responsible for the overall architecture of the network facing Assurance Platforms. The platform is based on Skyline DataMiner and contains various instances of this platform covering nearly all technical domains within the Ziggo Network.The project started in 2011 under UPC with introduction of a new video monitoring platform. An advanced monitoring platform using a combination of Skyline Communications DataMiner and Tektronix Aurora and Sentry probes to cover the Quality Assurance of all VoD and ReplayTV content, Linear TV channels and all video network elements and I have been acting as Product Owner for this project while transferring this project from Waterfall to Agile methodology and continued to improve and expand the capabilities and functionalities of the Video Monitoring Platforms and support European Roll Out of various of these solutions.Also part of this assignment has been the design and implementation of SAM, the Service Assurance Manager, which is the monitoring umbrella system build on Skyline DataMiner, responsible for the cross domain event correlation and (automated) ticketing towards the centralized ticketing system.Introduction of Service Monitoring has been part of this project as well, where based on WitBe Service Monitoring Robots, various Service Monitoring solutions focused on Video and MVNO have been implemented.Based on the requirements defined for HFC monitoring, Arris has created a HFC Docsis monitoring solution, Alarm Central, which we implemented for the entire Ziggo footprint.Further, I have been one of the architects responsible for the Assurance Migration of UPC and Ziggo, where the UPC architecture with SAM and other DataMiner instances was adopted as the desired assurance solution for the new organization.

Several massive High Definition Outside Broadcast Vehicles have left the D&MS factory and multiple studios and playout facilities have been build by this team. Forfilling the role of Project manager and Senior Engineer/Solution Architect within this company made me responsible for leading multiple project to their successful end.Project varying from building (HD) Broadcast Transmission Centers, Post Production System, Multi-Camera HDTV Outside Broadcast Vans, SNG Vans and MPEG/DVB encoding systems. In 2008 I’ve managed the build of multiple HDTV OB vans in parallel in order to have the ready for the big sports events of that summer.

Chellomedia's Digital Media Center is a multichannel, multi lingual playout facility in Amsterdam. From this Media Center more then 50 playout services are originated and more then 60 turn around services are handled.Within Chellomedia I forfilled the role of Senior Engineer and leading system architect on the broadcast and transmission system.I've been responsible amongst other things for the design of the Network Operation Center, (HD) playout chains, data archive storage systems and infrastructure, the MPEG/DVB encoding systems, several CA systems and the Direct To Home satellite platform.
