My primary focus in my professional role entails healthcare systems strengthening for oncology in Uganda. This involves engaging with diverse stakeholders, including policymakers, healthcare providers, patient groups, NGOs, and the Ministry of Health, among other healthcare players, to co-create solutions aimed at enhancing the patient journey as they access healthcare.My key areas of focus are sustainable health financing, access to life-saving oncology medicines and biologicals, health policy, and capacity building for health workers, in addition to the rest of the health systems building blocks. Through collaborative efforts, I strive to improve the overall quality of healthcare in Uganda, with a particular emphasis on oncology.

As a member of the Management team of Delmaw Enteprises Ltd which is an importer and distributor of Healthcare products, My key assignment is with regard to Brand building and increasing the product portifolio for the company.My daily work involves business discussions with various Pharmaceutical and medical devices manufacturers around the globe to share the market potential in Uganda and doing market research for different products in order to weigh their market viability and potential.I am also involved in the management of both tender and public business development. this involves interacting with NMS(National medical stores), Joint medical stores and other NGO organisations that procure healthcare products

• Product management:• Brand Planning: Augmentin, Zinnat Amoxil, Seretide, Avamys and Ventolin• Pharmacy Channel Management: Through developing pharmacy channel activation strategies, I was able to achieve a significant prescription SWITCH reduction from 25% to the current 17% over a period of 2years while ensuring channel availability increasing REACH across Uganda.• Product Launch: Providing strategic direction on new product introduction and development of new markets. - I was able to lead the Uganda marketing team for the successful launch of Duodart in 2015, Tivicay in 2016 and the recently Launched Augmentin ES in July 2017.• Supply chain Management: Forecasting demand for assigned products using APO SAP modules.• Project management: I have been on the steering committee for the role-over of the www.health.gsk portal for East Africa, which included preparation of workbooks for different products and working with the above country teams. I was able to provide digital marketing skills to provide leadership on this project.• I successful lead and provided marketing guidance while working with other cross functional teams on the project for the launch and roll over of the Veeva CRM system in East Africa. • Leadership (Digital Marketing lead): As the MCM lead for the East African market, over the 3 years, I have been able to introduce new ways of reaching HCPs through webinars, customised website, Email marketing and the CRM (customer relationship Management) system• Risk Management: Achieved 0% deviations for consecutive 3 years of Audit, by ensuring that all marketing activities adhere to promotional and marketing code while achieving performance with integrity, and in line with both the company and industry SOP frameworks.• Teams & Capability development: on boarded a team of 6 new Product Managers on the marketing team across East Africa.
