Position: Fatigue Monitoring Engineer – Graduate Trainee Duties/Responsibilities They included but not limited to:  Tracking and Monitoring of fatigue videos/events.  Reacts to these fatigue videos/events by alerting operators who are fatigued.  Ensures that all fatigued operators are reported to their supervisors immediately for actions to be taken.  Ensures that all major critically fatigued operators are immediately advised to stop operating the truck and reports to supervisor.  Ensures that all system problems are reported to immediately to the Guardvant Site Technician for redress and logs in a fatigue log book.  Compiles end of shift reports to the supervisor and the Unit Manager -Fleet Management System (FMS). Position: Pit Controller Dispatcher (Back up) Duties/Responsibilities  Ensures road network is up to date and correct within the system in order that best paths can be calculated between any two points on the mine i.e. Digger to crusher, digger to digger, digger to dump, etc.  Ensures that equipment statuses are up to date and correct within the system i.e. ready, down, delay, etc.  Ensures correct reasons are entered against appropriate status.  Ensure correct material type is entered against the material currently being dug and loaded by each digger.  Ensure that mining block information is entered against the digging location of each digger.  Ensures material types or dump locations are correct. i.e. Low grade, waste, etc. to ensure materials are not misplaced.  Correctly enter and edit information in an on-going fashion to ensure all data is correct and subsequently forwarded to the mines various management reporting systems, i.e. MMRS and intranet.

Position: Auxiliary Equipment Dispatcher (Secondary Control) Duties/Responsibilities  Ensures that equipment statuses are up to date and correct within the system i.e. ready, down, delay, etc.  Ensures correct reasons are entered against appropriate status.  Report promptly to HME Mine Care about down equipment i.e. fault and location  Keep track of movement of auxiliary equipment in the pit. E.g. track dozers, soil compactors, backhoes, water bowsers, wheel dozers, motor graders, etc.  Liaise with HME Mine Care to attend to down equipment on time.  Hourly keep track of number of track dozers down to compute the average down dozers by the end of shift.  Gives a copy of auxiliary equipment and production trucks location sheet to incoming shift.  Report promptly to supervisors appropriately about up equipment for effective utilization. Mine planning, survey, safety, load and production work

Position: Drill Rigs Offsider Duties/Responsibilities  Ensures rig operators drill blast holes to the planned depth.  Reports to business improvement supervisor about any inconsistencies in the drilling operations that might result in bad pit floors.  Measures drill holes and indicate whether its accurate or a redrill  Makes report on each blasthole at the end of shift and submit to superiors.  Direct operators on pattern to avoid any incidents or accidents and destruction of the drilled holes.  Assesses drilling area and direct operators accordingly.  Ensures safety equipment such as yellow cones, markout boards, etc. are in place.  Plugs all drilled holes to prevent run-off water in case of rain from destroying them. Other Sections (Mine planning, survey, safety, load and haul, and geology)  Assisting in mine planning (haul road and waste dump design, daily mine planning activities)  Assisting in mine survey works.  Assisting Mine Safety activities(hazard reporting, risk assessment and site inspections)  Assisting in keeping pit floors good for trucks.  Checking floors with lasers and spraying for digger operators to mine to required elevation.  Monitoring of waste dumps daily and advising dump controllers on the need to spot operators to dump correctly as required by procedure. June, 2014 - August, 2014 Industrial Attachment at AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Ltd, Tarkwa  Assisting Geotechnical activities (water level reading; pit wall slope monitoring, generation daily Geotechnical reports)  Assisting Mine Safety activities( leading weekly safety toolbox meetings, hazard reporting, risk assessment and site inspections)  Assisting in mine survey works  Drill and blast quality control, quality assurance  Productivity studies on fleets  Collecting water samples for all waters in the mine concession and testing for pH and other metals if they meet EPA standards.
