I have administered and coordinated the planning, designing, troubleshooting, development, and operational strategy of WFP logistics. Ensuring seamless operations and optimized efficiency for successful logistics management was my major assignment, however, I have also supervised the Operations section in charge of coordinating and implementing contracts for Logistics Services required.A few of my noteworthy experiences include:- Cultivated relationships with qualified logistics service providers and assets through frequent Logistics Capacity Assessments. Strengthened partnerships for enhanced logistics capabilities and efficient resource utilization.- Effectively coordinated warehousing and transshipment operations for an annual cargo volume of approximately 600,000MT for Ethiopia and transit to South Sudan. Ensured smooth logistics flow and timely delivery of goods.- Reengineered distribution processes through vendor and supply hub change while establishing auditable controls. My major accomplishment was establishing and leading a Forward Logistics Base (FLB) in Liberia during the West Africa Ebola Emergency as Logistics Officer. I have successfully coordinated critical logistics operations to support the emergency response efforts.Following are some of Key Achievements:- Took the lead in spearheading the construction and design of the Voinjama Forward Logistics Base (FLB) in Liberia, strategically located at the outbreak's epicenter. Created a facility to offer Common Logistics Services, facilitating the humanitarian community's emergency response efforts.- Recruited and trained a team of 13 national staff, equipping them with the necessary skills and best practices to proficiently and autonomously provide the required services, contributing to a capable and efficient workforce.- Provided effective supervision over receiving, dispatching, and storing emergency response equipment. Ensured efficient and organized equipment handling, enabling timely deployment and availability for emergency response operations.- Administered and followed up on the operational efficiency and continuity protocols, which resulted in a 100% success rate in staff safety and timely distribution of emergency equipment contributing to eradicating the Ebola outbreak.

Key Logistics Officer deployed to undertake Logistics Capacity Assessment within the digital LCA framework (DLCA) in preparation for the International Security Assistance Force phase-out.Logistics Capacity Assessment- Played a key role in mapping out information on Logistics related assets and country specific requirements and completed the data compilation in less than a month;- Surveyed the most conceivable primary, secondary and tertiary transport routes to be used detailing the present road capacities with seasonal adjustments and potential constraints;- Assessed and described the corridors most likely to be used, from entry points to delivery points, including goods in transit for neighboring countries if required; - Evaluated the in-country fuel supply, storage, distribution, pricing and potential limitations and restrictions
