His work has had a substantial impact, contributing to the success of projects with multi-million dollar implications.Dr. Filali, who graduated from the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, France, with a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 2002 and a Habilitation degree in 2008, has had a fruitful career in both academia and industry. Before joining QMIC in 2010, he dedicated eight years to the Mobile Communications department at EURECOM, France, progressing from Assistant to Associate Professor.His contributions have been recognized with over 20 awards from respected organizations, including the European Commission, the French National Research Agency, and the Qatar National Research Fund. As a mentor, he has had the privilege of guiding ten Ph.D. students through their research in various fields, such as intelligent transportation and big data analytics.Dr. Filali has made significant research contributions, with more than 150 papers published in leading international conferences and journals, and he has also been involved in filing more than 10 patent applications.
