Nana is a well experienced attorney with a demonstrated history of working in the legal industry. She qualified as an attorney in 2003. In addition to general corporate law she is knowledgeable in the law relating to debt and equity capital, banking and finance, securities, mergers and acquisitions, tax, rolling stock, procurement and construction (with some experience in the FIDIC standard documents). She also has experience both in local and cross-border transactions. Previously, she practiced in the Banking and Finance Practice at Webber Wentzel, where she acted both as lenders’ counsel and as borrowers’ counsel. She also held a position as internal legal counsel within the investment banking division of Absa CIB Bank Ltd, so she is conscious of the requirements of businesses from their legal resources and is also aware of the concerns of working with external attorneys (e.g. time sensitivity, fee concerns and internal relationship dynamics). Prior to this she spent a term working abroad as a lawyer at Simmons & Simmons, a big law firm in London.
