I am a third year Environmental Management undergraduate, focused on obtaining practical conservation experience through a voluntary university placement with National Trust For Scotland. Living in rural southwest Scotland I am well aware of the importance of protecting Scotland's natural and cultural heritage.I currently balance my studies with practical calf rearing work on a local organic farm, where I am familiar with sustainable land management techniques and agricultural practices. Ensuring the best standard of wellbeing for the livestock with minimal environmental impact.In June 2025, I will be beginning a new role as an Ecology Specialist at Green Chimneys Summer Camps, New York, USAMy current time at university has provided me with strong knowledge in environmental legislation, sustainability, and biodiversity, while practical roles have fostered the transition from passive to active learning.
