When you are involved in a position that you truly love; you will stick with it. This is the place that I have found myself in for the past eighteen years. My first license was acquired on 9/11/2001 for traditional foster children through Randolph County department of Social Services. I found that I needed more of a challenge so I went to a private agency and began to work with therapeutic teens (males) from age 15 to the transitional age of 21. I thought I found my nitch. Then I wanted to work with MR/MI/DD. I finally figured out that I am a people person in the helping profession and I love what I do. I also know that this is what I was called to do, which makes a huge difference. This is why I decided to go back to school and get a degree to do more in the helping field in the form of Case Management. I did graduate in December 2014 with an Associates of Applied Arts and Science degree in Human Service and Mental Health and I have also obtained a Bachelors of Science Degree in Social Work and Psychology by attending NC A&T State University. I am now looking for a place of employment working with and for mentally challenged individuals.
