As a current Board of Directors member of the Palm Springs International Film Festival since 1991, I vote on policy, budget, raise funds and work directly with artist Dale Chihuly in acquiring his glass sculptures to be given to stars as awards at our gala each year.

Became Executive Director of the Palm Springs Desert Museum (now named the Palm Springs Art Museum) in 1990. Accomplishments while director - raising funds and organizing the refurbishment of the Annenberg Theater in the musuem. Work included rebuilding stage, adding new curtain, a new, motorized screen for films, a new platter system 35mm projector, computerized stage lighting and surround sound system.With new theater capabilities, Museum and its theater was able to become permanent venue for the then newly formed Palm Springs International Film Festival that continues today.Another major accomplishment was to secure a $1,500,000 lead gift donation to begin design of new addition to museum building. The donor requested bringing back original architect of the building, E. Stewart Williams, to come out of retirement to design what became the Steve Chase Wing that was completed after my tenure.

Appointed Executive Director of non-profit art center operating out of a public space at the daily newspaper, The Honolulu Advertiser. As Director, my primary task was to raise funds, find an architect, rebuild and refurbish a 1920's estate in Makiki Heights in the hills above Honolulu while maintaining an ongoing exhibition schedule at the Advertiser building.Mission of the museum was to exhibit and collect art of today with an emphasis on artisits living in teh state of Hawai'i.All of the above were accomplished and museum opened to the public in October of 1988. It has just celebrated its 20th anneversary.
