Fred Levine is a longtime writer and editor, who has worked at such companies as Time, Inc. and Disney, as well as a consultant or contributor for major publications and non-profits. He has been published in Family Fun, Yankee, Parenting, Natural Health, Scientific American Explorations, Walking, SELF, Details, Yoga Journal, and Hippocrates, among others, and has done work for such companies as Johnson & Johnson, Hewlett-Packard, Proctor & Gamble, Braun, Dannon, and McNeil Pharmaceuticals. He is also the author of two books on religion and spirituality, and has a lifelong interest in mysticism and mythology. In addition to his work as a writer and editor, he is also an avid fine-art photographer, specializing in landscapes, urbanscapes, and nature photography and has sold his work regionally throughout New York and New England.Together with his wife, Trisha Thompson, he has launched Small Batch Books, a private publishing company specializing in personal memoirs, family histories, company histories, and other literary or scholarly works.
