As CEO of Next Sense, I lead the company in pioneering energy-positive solutions for the built environment. Formed through the merger of Sense by PHYSEE and EDGE Next, Next Sense leverages AI-based control logic and advanced building physics algorithms to achieve up to 50% energy savings in professional real estate. I am dedicated to driving innovation, fostering a collaborative culture, and advancing sustainable technology solutions that transform how buildings interact with their environment.

PHYSEE Technologies, founded by Willem Kesteloo and Ferdinand Grapperhaus, originated at the Delft University of Technology. The organisation received global attention for their PowerWindows that generated electricity in a transparant way. Richard Branson, Bill Clinton, Maxima and many others have come to see the first live buildings using this technology. Over time the company has successfully pivoted the technology into both a coating product and a software platform. The coating product is spun-out into FOTONIQ Technologies which increases crop growth with 8% by enhancing natural sun light. The software platform is spun-out as Sense by PHYSEE and later merged with EDGE Next the daughter company of Edge Technologies. The company focusses on decarbonizing real esate usig data and AI.
