We are what we remember, right? Everything we are and do is based on memory. And yet we never train or maintain it. Back in 2016 after a buy-out of my printing company I was figuring out what I was going to do. I noticed that simple solutions with a big impact triggered me. With Pimpjedeur.nl, one of my past ventures, I've invented a bookcase sticker that prevented people suffering dementia from running away from their care homes. It not only turned out to be an affordable solution for the client, but also ensured that people with dementia started valuable conversations with each other about their memories. These stickers are nowadays used in almost every dementia care facility.Anyways, while developing a virtual clown doctor for the Cliniclowns Foundation, I thought of a simple way to give back memories and dignity to my grandmother. She was very forgetful at that time and I didn't know what she knew, but wanted to retrieve her precious memories so we could talk about it. I then bought the cheapest VR glasses, asked my mother for important life events and places from my grandmother's life and virtually brought her back to places and events that were important to her. That's in a nutshell where my adventure into the world of memory took off. By working side-by-side with the best brain researchers and memory champions, I learned and experienced that if you train and work together with your memory it becomes a powerful superskill. ­Together with dr. Boris Konrad, we devel­oped our BRAINDRILLs method and modules to improve quickly improve your memory and work efficiency. We now train individuals, teams and organizations for this superskill. Our methods resulted in several world records and are especially designed to make sure that what you learn, read or create sticks!
