A graduate of Duquesne University Mylan School of Pharmacy and PGY-1 trained at the VA Pittsburgh Medical Center, Dr. Youschak has spent 10 years in the practice of clinical pharmacy. Her current role as Senior Manager of Clinical Outcomes at PANTHERX Rare Pharmacy, focuses on improving adherence and patient outcomes across targeted specialty disease states. Dr. Youschak's previous experience includes working at UPMC. She joined UPMC Shadyside in 2014 as a staff pharmacist. Her practice was focused on the interventional cardiology unit where she was responsible for order verification, patient safety monitoring, clinical initiatives including pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, and patient counseling. Dr. Youschak transitioned to the Lead of Clinical Services at UPMC Shadyside in 2015 and continued in a leadership role serving as the Clinical Pharmacy Manager until 2022. In this leadership role she was responsible for managing a large team of pharmacists and pharmacy interns, monitoring and implementing new clinical pharmacy services, medication formulary review and management, patient safety, and serving as a pharmacy preceptor for both pharmacy students and pharmacy residents. Dr. Youschak transitioned to specialty pharmacy in 2023, when she joined PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy as a Clinical Coordinator. In her current role as Senior Pharmacy Manager of Clinical Outcomes, she is responsible for developing and managing clinical programs aimed at driving adherence and improving outcomes across targeted disease states. Her professional pursuits include elevating the role of the pharmacist within her organization, creating a safer patient environment, supporting her pharmacy team, and identifying areas for quality improvement. Dr. Youschak received her Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy in 2016.Her recreational interests include running, playing the piano, reading, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
