Founded in 1984, MDV-SEIA's members design, sell, integrate, install, maintain and finance solar energy equipment for residential, commercial and institutional customers throughout the region. Over the last few years MDV-SEIA has led the policy changes that have created the region's market. In the last two years alone, MDV-SEIA’s leadership has resulted in increased state mandated requirements as well as increased penalties for non-compliance, creation of a solar thermal market, improvements to net metering, and game changing gains in the deployment of these green energy technologies.

The bipartisan Commission is made up of leaders from around the state including local elected officials, members of the General Assembly, business leaders, environmental advocates, faith leaders, and industry representatives. This Commission has evaluated the recommendations made by then-Governor Kaine’s Climate Commission, determine what actions were taken on those recommendations, and issue an updated final report.

The Virginia Energy Council assists in the development and implementation of a cohesive, comprehensive, and aggressive energy strategy for Virginia and deliver recommendations for the Virginia Energy Plan, which will be submitted to the General Assembly on October 1, 2014. The Energy Council was created by Executive Order June 4, 2014

Virginia Advanced Energy Industries Coalition (VAEIC) promotes open markets for clean and secure advanced energy technologies in order to create market opportunities and position Virginia as a magnet for talent and innovation. VAEIC represents the leading clean, advanced energy technologies with an economic interest in Virginia and a commitment to prudent energy policies. Utilizing our coalition’s commercial and political strength and deploying our collective capabilities, we are transforming the Virginia energy landscape.

Manage electric utility operations and develop fossil and renewable energy power plants

Provide client management and contract fufillment for energy asset managment services.Develop and grow the asset management service line including developing new clients and enhancing service offerings.

Financial management, accounting, HR and administrative support. Specifically, led debt financing for new construction projects; developed and delivered streamlined financial reporting and cost accounting for internal and external reporting; managed the transition to and successful conclusion of a Big 4 audit; and overcame organizational resistance to lead and deliver transformed business processes including a new Activity Based Costing paradigm and structure resulting in improved data integrity.

Administration of programs that ensure the effective management of mineral resources located on the nation’s outer continental shelf — including the environmentally safe exploration, development, and production of oil and natural gas — and the collection and distribution of revenues for minerals developed on federal and Indian lands.

Developed analytic techniques and tools for assessing federal policy options in support of nuclear energy. Congress enacted the recommended DOE Loan Guarantee Program (section 1705) through the Energy Policy Act of 2005.

Provided energy and operational policy recommendations, economic analysis, and communications for policy initiatives.

Member of both the “Corporate Finance and Strategy” and the “Electric Power and Natural Gas” practices. Managed consulting engagements for corporate strategy, risk management, operations, mergers and divestitures. Clients included integrated electric utilities, energy trading and marketing entities, major oil companies, and chemical companies.
