Role was to oversee and optimise the automated pipeline for COVID-19 testing at the only high throughput screening lab at the time on the Island of Jersey. Responsibilities included adapting lab protocols to shortages due to volatile supply chains, being on call 24/7 to fix any robot crashes/errors, and to sit as the on-the-ground lab rep for daily meetings with Government of Jersey officials.

After my MRes & before going travelling I was recommended for a short-term research contract before a pre-planned travel sabbatical.Designed and developed an experiment pipeline to screen a protein engineering technology developed by the Windbichler Lab.
