I am the Senior Laboratory Manager for the Division of Surgery and Interventional Science at the University College London (UCL) where I lead a team of 7 highly specialised technical team across 3 sites. I lead on the professional management of research facilities such as electron and confocal microscopy through to workshop facilities such as laser cutters and 3D printers. I have a PhD in Neurology from UCL and over 10 years of experience in laboratory management, export controls compliance, and regulatory compliance in higher education.My passion is to create enabling environments for academic excellence and innovation, while ensuring the Division operates within the compliance requirements of the law and University regulations. I am skilled in developing and implementing policies and processes, providing advice and guidance, and delivering training and support in the areas of laboratory management, safety, information governance, and export controls. I enjoy working with diverse and talented colleagues on exciting and impactful projects, and I am always eager to learn and grow professionally.
