I test clients pumps on our test bed.Depending on the pressure rating I will run the pumps accordingly on our Tandm software which will give a flow rate and differential pressure.We can also get the power and efficiency of the pump as a result of the torque transducer.We are able to get a pump curve of the pump and compare it to the actual pump curve published.This will allow us to give feedback back to the customerThe pump hopefully over performs in which case we can cut the impeller or underperforms in which case we have to decide how to improve the efficiency of the pump. A great way to improve pump efficiency is by coating the impeller and internals of the casing with a ceramic coating. I have also learnt the basics of assembly and disassembly of centrifugal pumps. Learnt about power, efficiency and torque of a pump. How to operate a Vsd to start up a pump. I have also learnt wiring up in delta and star delta.

I am responsible for new and established accounts - I have dealt with some key customers including SA Breweries , Mpact , Clover and Samancor.I have also dealt with big agents like Mpumalanga Pumps ,Wegezi and Waterpump Services.and helped to deal with Agrico and Agrinet. My duties include Quoting , ordering , following up with clients and sometimes making sure we get paid for Cash jobs -I am also responsible for creating new accounts on our CRM system ,I am also asked from time to time to print Invoices for clients and for selecting pumps off our SAP and EASY SELECT global system -I have on the odd occasion selected IMPORTED pumps for specific projects , where the pumps are not standardised for the South African market - but for bottling , sach as SAB Our SPIAX system allows me to select pumps for HVAC tenders which we get involved in from time to time.I mainly do water pumps , but have selected High pressure pumps like the.Wkln , the MTCand the Movietec range of pumps. i have also sold KWP pumps , part of the waste water rangeand a number of our submersible pumps.I have also been involved in selecting pumps for Diesel and Petrol transfer I have good knowledge of emailing , outlook express , Xcel and Word documents -Programs worked on include CRM, EasySelect,Spiax. and. SAP

I was resposible for External repping for this company - I called mainly on Boiler Houses and dida lot of irrigation pumps - I was also exposed to Gear Pumps and Blackmer Rotary vane pumps which i sold into the market place - Apart from the standard centrifigal pumps , i was also responsible for Wilden and Versamatic and Sandpiper range of pumps which i sold to places like NCS Resins - I achieved quite a lot working for this company and got to visit a wide range of clientele , including the food industry , brewing industry and boiler houses . I also called on John Thompson boilersand got some work from the Sugar mills .i was also resposible for selling pumps to NESTLE and getting repairs and seling pumps to the Forestery market , including NEW FOREST Products and RAINBOW CHICkENS .I also got repairs and sold a number of pumps for Vaccuum applications -- i used to deal with HIVAC and SIHI vaccuum pumps .
