With over 18 years professional experience I have a proven track record of growing organisations by building strong cultures which appeal to technologists. I have driven multiple projects around re-architecture of legacy platforms using cloud technologies and leveraging concepts such as Domain Driven Design and Event-Driven Architectures.I am a continuously curious technologist and enjoy being both strategic and hands-on and champion good practices such as eXtreme Programming, Continuous Delivery, functional programming and C4 modelling.I am the co-founder of the Build IT Right Conference, a North-East based annual conference for all people involved in building and delivering software and technology systems. This has attracted some notable speakers in the industry around architecture, mircoservices and continuous delivery.For a number of years I have also been a STEM Ambassador and have taken part in numerous activities to encourage children to take an interest in STEM careers. I am currently mentoring local teenagers at both A-level and GSCE levels.
