2009/2010 International institution under EU supervision, coordination of accounting manual description and IPSAS conversion 2008/2009 For a Medical Diagnostics company, responsible for the development of a strong finance department (project budget of more than EUR 2 mio). Major achievements are:• the recruitment of finance and treasury professionals (sr. controller, sr. treasurer, financial analyst, responsible for shared services) and a number of less experienced resources;• the implementation of a financial business intelligence platform (TM1) and a consolidation tool (FCRS);• the harmonization of the chart of accounts throughout the seven countries and more than 200 entities;• the set-up of a monthly reporting providing P&L and operational KPI’s within 15 days after month end (coming from more than 40 days);• implementation of an annual budget process and quarterly performance review;• organization of external operational support for the finance processes such as the monthly reporting, quarterly budget review and half-year and annual consolidation.• Initiated the shared services, treasury centralization and IFRS transition projects. 2009 For a Belgian funeral network responsible for• a finance function review anticipating major acquisitions• redesign of the management reporting pack for the shop managers and regional managers. 2007/2009 For a very large semi-public organization co-responsible for • concept and the implementation of transparent cost allocation between the major business units.
