Design for increased biosafety in TB laboratories in Peru. 60 credits master's thesis in Industrial Design Technology. For 1 year I lived and worked in Lima, Peru and developed a more economical biosafety cabinet for Peruvian tuberculosis laboratories which, due to a lack of resources, currently lack the appropriate protective equipment. The design is created in acrylic and cut out with a laser cutter. The design is open source and manuals for manufacturing and use as well as CAD files are available in our FVWS repository. As part of the thesis, the design approach Frugal Design is also explored by using the existing theory that is applied in practice by developing the biosafety cabinet. I worked onboard ad deck hand facilitating crew transfer of technicians within windmill park outside the Netherlands. I managed the daily transfer of personnel and cargo between ships and wind turbines under complex conditions at sea. In addition to that, I handled daily maintenance of the ship and machinery from a maintenance program, as well as planning and preparing food for the rest of the crew.

I worked as a captain on sightseeing boats in Gothenburg harbour and canals. In addition to manoeuvring the ship, an important part of the work is the contact with guests and above all the safe running of the ship. As captain, I was responsible for communication with other nearby ships when necessary. As captain, you must be able to lead in stressed situations.
As a bachelor's thesis, I worked with 5 other students on a project to produce a picture frame that is less prone to shipping damage and can be shipped in a smaller volume, to reduce costs and increase sustainability. The work lead to a fully functional prototype that was used for further development together with manufacturers.
Stockholm And The Balic Sea
Tre kronor af Stockholm is a brig built in oak and launched in 2005. With the ship we sailed with guests and students during the season from May to November. As a crew, we showed how well a brig can be maneuvered for sail, both inboard and outboard. As a boatswain, I led the work on deck, both during sailing and with maintenance work. Through hard work and clear leadership, I kept the ship in top condition. I was responsible for the daily maintenance of the ship, the rigging and the engine room. An important quality for a boatman is efficient division of labor. Together, a crew can carry out professional and efficient maintenance work, perform complicated sailing maneuvers and give all guests a memory of a lifetime. To achieve this, clear and effective leadership is required.
