My PhD research integrates genomics and social science to study nonhuman primates at the interface with humans in the shared landscapes of West Africa, with Sierra Leone as my primary fieldwork site.Besides NOVA FCSH, I am affiliated with the University of Exeter (UK) and the University of Porto (Portugal). I collaborate closely with the Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (Portugal) and the Globe Institute at the University of Copenhagen (Denmark), where I conducted my laboratory work.
