I am with the FSI Quality Assurance Team and as part of the Quality Control of software development process my role is to identify defects in work products such as functional requirements documentation (i.e., test basis) and the software in order to improve the quality of the software product delivered to our financial services industry clients (e.g., Banks). Software Functional Testing activities I am responsible for include the design, implementation and execution of Test Cases on the newly developed feature/component, execution of confirmation tests to validate corrective actions on defects undertaken by the development team and running of regression test suites to confirm that changes to the code did not negatively impact other software components/software functionality. Reporting of defects using the Test Management tool used in the company; creating test suites in the same platform to document test runs and test results; and reporting do the PM about test run progress and results are important tasks I complete .

Being in charge of managing Naturlink website, my everyday tasks included:- browsing News Media websites and social media searching for interesting environment news topics and writing short news stories - searching scientific literature and other sources and writing theme articles on Environmental issues- searching for Job and Event announcements and editing the information to fit website page format- editing the website database through its content management system- using Social Media to promote new content (News, Articles, Jobs, Events)As part of my routine work I also replied to Naturlink users' e-mails and assisted in managing the Naturfun online shopping site (http://Naturfun.pt). Besides these daily duties I was involved in other activities such as organizing Scientific Conferences and, as part of the Iberlinx Project*, I managed the project website, authored a mammal guide of the Moura-Barrancos conservation area and wrote the introduction of the "Land of the Lynx" Photography Exhibition brochure. *Iberlinx was a project funded by the EU through the POCTEP Programme which aimed to restore Iberian lynx natural habitat along the Portugal-Spain border. I was lead by EDIA with Águas do Algarve, Junta de Andalucía and Ayuntamiento de Valencia del Mombuey as partner institutions.

I studied Eurasian badger (Meles meles) behaviour in captivity by observing a social group of two females and one male that lived in a artificial den at Parc de Colserolla. I was interested in the dominance hierarchy of the group, analyzing interactions in the presence of a prized food resource.

As a research grant holder for the "Impacts of acord dispersal and herbivory on cork oak woodlands regeneration" project I designed and implemented an experiment aiming to test acorn predator preferences by installing, in the field, bird and ground feeders which were supllied with several acorns of three oak species and were equipped with video cameras. The results of the experiment, analyzed as part of a Bachelor Dissertation by Rui Rodrigues, are briefly presented in an article on a environmental education website (http://naturlink.pt/article.aspx?menuid=3&cid=2905&bl=1&viewall=true#Go_1).
