Filip Trajkovski is a YES Abroad Assistant and City Representative at American Councils for International Education. They is proficient in Croatian and Serbian. Colleagues describe them as "I have known Filip since 2019, when he became one of our most active YES alumni in North Macedonia. As a Senior Program Officer at American Councils for International Education, where I work on alumni programming for the U.S. Dept. of State-funded Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) program, I have worked with many young people who have shown great potential through their academic achievements and community engagement activities. But Mr. Filip Trajkovski stands out and is in the top echelon of these youth. He has consistently shown a strong desire to learn, get involved, give back, and implement his ideas through various projects benefiting a variety of underserved groups. I manage an alumni grants program, and Filip successfully and responsibly managed a $1,000 grant only one year after returning from his high school exchange experience in the U.S. His project benefited children with disabilities, and Filip showed great patience, resourcefulness, maturity, and flexibility trying to complete his grant project amid the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions while taking safety into consideration working with this vulnerable population. And he's a very quick learner. Filip stands out with his strong presence in the alumni community and his active participation in projects to empower and benefit his local community.
