In this new chapter of my research career I am focusing on the synthesis, extrusion, characterization and test of Fe-exchanged zeolites devoted to the conversion of nitrogen oxides and nitrous oxide under industrial-like conditions. In collaboration with CASALE SA (CH), we are combining kinetics, spectroscopies and material science to design the next generation of catalytic materials for environmental protection purposes.

Doctoral studies conducted jointly between EPFL (Lausanne), PSI (Villigen) and CASALE SA (Lugano) and focused on the simultaneous Selective Catalytic Reduction of N₂O and NO over Fe-exchanged zeolites. Together with the numerous collaborations established with colleagues at PSI, ETH and EPFL, this doctorate journey allowed me to develop expertise in the field of heterogenous catalysis for red-ox mediated reactions, in the use of ex-situ/in-situ/operando spectroscopic methods, in kinetic analyses and in mechanistic interpretations.
