As a Data Engineer on a large-scale data migration project, I am responsible for transitioning data from an obsolete system to a modern AWS-based architecture. My key responsibilities include:➡️ 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: Responsible for the data ingestion process, utilizing AWS AppFlow and custom-built Lambda API integrations to ensure seamless data transfer into the new system.➡️ 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 & 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠: Responsible for managing data transformations using dbt Cloud, integrating Snowflake as the central data warehouse. In addition, I mentored less experienced team members to ensure accurate and efficient data transformations across the team.➡️ 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 & 𝐎𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: I use AWS CDK and CloudFormation to deploy the necessary components for the data pipeline infrastructure. This task involved a clear understanding of the requirements and implementing them into the system using Java, JSP and JavaScript.➡️ 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: A significant aspect of my job was to manage various integration areas, including authentication, digital signatures, and online payment systems.
