One of the first pieces of advice I often share is the importance of consistently focusing on creating value for the user. This user-centric approach is a core principle that has been with me since my high school days. My passion for entrepreneurship and my love for the efficiency of the lean approach are deeply rooted in my engineering way of thinking. I stand as a dynamic force in the world of entrepreneurship, embodying the roles of a lean startup evangelist, mentor, and ecosystem developer.Since I began my journey in the startup ecosystem in 2013 as a co-founder of Smion (originally Lean Startup Croatia), I have been actively involved in shaping the entrepreneurial landscape, making significant strides in Croatia and across Europe. As the founding partner and CEO of Smion, I've had the privilege of consulting and mentoring over 500 startups across three continents and ten countries, actively mentoring for several startup incubators in Europe, and facilitating more than 200 innovation and startup workshops and events. My efforts have contributed to enriching incubation and acceleration programs across a variety of geographies and industries.My professional journey is characterized by my ability to bridge the gap between technology and business. Holding a Bachelor's and Master's degree in mechanical engineering, complemented by my financial insight as a CFA charterholder, I have been able to bring a unique perspective to both the profit and non-profit sectors. My leadership skills have been proven through my experience managing multicultural and international teams, navigating both B2B and B2C sales environments, and successfully leading multimillion-dollar projects.
