The project team designed, built and delivered an automatic storage and retrieval system with RFID user identification. Users can scan their fob or card, which brings up their profile with information about what they may have already stored as well as how long it’s been stored. Users have the option to store additional items or retrieve items already in the system. Additionally, there is a separate RFID account that will allow trained personnel a greater degree of access to error reporting, system information and system control.

This project focuses on the operation and calibration of a TCS3200 colour sensor. Work pieces to be sorted are brought under the colour sensor by a stepper motor. Final trajectory is set by a servo motor once colour has been identified. There is an IR sensor acting as basic encoder making sure the stepper rotates to the correct position. When operating normally a work piece is identified and placed every 3 seconds with a high degree of accuracy and precision.

As main activities, I had to manage the conception and development of electronic instruments with a variety of applications such as industrial automation and domotics. At the project phase, activities such as prototyping, schematic design and board design, component selection and microcontroller programming were recurrent. Managed two main projects:1. DRS: Arduino based standalone used on a variety of applications such as motor control.2. Inclinometer Sensor: Most applied to textile industries, this sensor provides exact inclination by analog signals and light demonstratorsI also assisted on a number of industrial automation projects. On that assignment, I was in charge of the LADDER programs development, of supervisory designs and program as well as the electric command projects
