Shawn has served the air filtration industry for over 29 years. During his tenure, he has served in various capacities of increased responsibility such as Project Engineer, Lead Engineer, Engineering Manager, Production Manager, Director of Engineering, Director of R&D, Director of High Purity Products, Global VP of R&D, Senior Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Product Engineering, COO, and lastly President.In preparation for a career in engineering and eventually management, he graduated from East Carolina University in 2003 with a B.S. in Industrial Technology with a concentration in Industrial Engineering. As an internationally recognized Cleanroom expert, he holds a certificate in ISO 14644, USP 797 Cleanroom Operations, and lastly USP 797 Cleanroom Design all through the IEST.He has been invited to present several technical papers and reports at Furman University, The National Air Filtration Association Technical and Annual Conferences, ISPE Annual Conference, CETA Annual Conferences in 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2024, IEST Fall Conference 2014 and ESTECH 2016 as well as INDA Filtration 2010 and 2011. He is actively involved in IEST, ASHE, ASHRAE, ABSA, CETA, and currently serves on the HVAC Steering Committee for ISPE. He served as the IEST CC Education VP for 2012-2014, IEST President Elect in 2014/2015, IEST ESTECH 2015 Planning Chairman, IEST Finance Committee 2012-2016, IEST Executive Committee Chair, and President of IEST in 2015/2016. Shawn was elected to the CETA Board of Directors in May of 2016. His term was extended to 2023 due to COVID-19, as he was re-elected to serve a second term as President In 2020/2021. In April 2023, he was re-elected to serve another (4) year board term through 2027.
