Passionate about defining audio drama as a medium of its own worthiness alongside film, TV, games, etc.Best known as one of the pioneers of the medium, going back to the early 2000s when you had to hand-code XML in order to make podcast feeds. Took what I knew from film school and recorded actors on-location, placed inside soundscapes with gritty, immersive sound effects and stories that leaned into the power of projecting images onto people's heads via their ears.Fred lives in an off-grid homestead in rural Maine his wife and daughters. He/his work has been featured in The New York Times, NPR, MTV, Rolling Stone, The Wall Street Journal (A4), Moneyish, The Financial Times, The Guardian, BBC Radio 4 and numerous regional publications.Fred has worked on set with Christina Ricci, Jack Falahee, Manny Jacinto, Jameela Jamil, Thora Birch, Stephen King, Joe Hill, Kate Mulgrew, Zachary Quinto, David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and many others. He's a tireless teacher and mentor, and created the hugely popular online course "So You Wanna Make A Radio Drama?" in spring 2020.
