They need a break and really appreciate my help. This not only provides a needed service in rural America but creates a great change of pace for me. I would love to see other physicians go into semi-retirement and work a week a month at a rural hospital instead of quitting altogether. What an impact we could make!

We would pick one topic in medicine and discuss it for an hour and invite listeners to call in with their questions. It was very popular with the listeners. I was sad to see it come to an end when I retired from my 20 year Surgical Practice and began traveling and Carl became a Representative in the state legislature of Oregon.
