About Finlay Anderson

I am a 22 year-old drummer and BA Music graduate based in Brighton working as a freelance musician. I am a highly versatile contemporary drummer, with tuition from industry-renowned drummers such as Pete Riley (Motörhead, Republica) and George Double (lead co-ordinator at Trinity College London) for 10+ years and 5+ years live performance experience within various genres and styles. My experience ranges from playing large festivals (On The Beach UK, The Great Escape) and gigs, to playing drum kit in Big Bands (Royal Hospital School) and Lead snare drum in Marching Bands, alongside up to 50 other musicians. Other skills include studio and recording knowledge, having recorded 3 EPs, many singles and having played in countless studio sessions. I am very competent with playback, sampling, and use of SPD-SX and Logic Pro X, as well as set-up of drum kits for live and studio use. I am also able to read drum notation.I hope that I am a personable and reliable character, and many people I have worked with comment on how easy I am to get on with. I have a professional attitude, whilst also realising how important it is to have fun while you are working!
