Leader of the Balfour Beatty Rail Tendering & Estimating teams. Responsibility for tender strategy and delivery into traditional Rail clients including NWR, Crossrail and Thameslink. Private Clients including Dubai Ports, NEXUS, Strathclyde Passenger Transit Authority and International clients.Responsibility for line management and development of the work winning functions of Bid Management, Estimating and Tender Planning.Responsibilities• Maintain the pipeline of profitable new work to Balfour Beatty Rail. £800m NSV secured in the past two years• Implementation & maintenance of Tendering process from prequalifying into delivery • Co-ordination of internal stakeholders to support tenders ie Engineering, Ops, Procurement and Commercial departments • Development of robust cost and resource planning systems • Ensure effective handover of successful tenders to project delivery teams • Integration of cost, planning and operational delivery systems including BIM & RIB • Co-ordination with external Group stakeholders within Major Civil Engineering, Regional Civil Engineering and Signalling

To lead and develop the tender planning function and planners across the following business units:- UK Projects- International Projects- Birse Rail- Trackwork ProjectsDevelop winning solutions,methodologies and programmes on major rail infrastructure projects in domestic and international markets.To build on successful bidding history and continue to deliver a pipeline of profitable new business to Balfour Beatty.
