Over the years I have been able to advise companies on how to raise loans and lines of credit whilst being starved of credit facilities by their own bankers. Many of these companies were well run with good products. They just needed extra cash flow in order to become successful. Through my many connections I have also been able to provide access to credit facilities for start-ups with particular success in the commodities field and luxury real estate.Whilst many banks have been slimming down their loan books my client base has expanded exponentially. I have a proven ability to provide access to Bank Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit to act as collateral for loans and lines of credit. I moved into the Bank Guarantee and Standby Letter of Credit arena over a decade ago as I identified that these bank instruments would be the way forward for companies struggling to raise capital. I am happy to say the many companies that were facing ruin due to lack of investment having employed me in a consultative role are now healthy and profitable.As 2021 looms, I am forecasting that credit line facilities for the small to mid-cap companies will be even harder to acquire as banks and other traditional lenders look to other markets to make their profits. Bank Guarantees and Standby Letters of Credit will become more and more popular as a means of raising credit facilities.
