Shacademy is a provider of classes and workshops for 5-18 year olds that inspire confidence through drama. We currently run regular classes and holiday workshops in South Devon and North London. They also provide private LAMDA tuition and preparation for exams. The Bike Shed Theatre was formed in Exeter in February 2010. Originally as a pop-up venue for Particular theatre Company, it was evident that a small scale theatre would be popular in the city. Within a year, we had expanded the subterranean cellar and once Chinese restaurant to create a 60 seat auditorium and separate vintage cocktail bar. Producing between 4 and 8 in-house productions a year, at least 50% of which are new writing, The Bike Shed Theatre is quickly generating interest from both… Show more The Bike Shed Theatre was formed in Exeter in February 2010. Tabernacle Arts was created with the sole aim of opening an arts cafe. A creative hub with performance space, rehearsal rooms and popular bar and cafe. It was dissolved in 2010 after the creation of The Bike Shed Theatre took precedent.

AvantRural are co-hosts of Wattsfest and organisers of Deviock festivals in Devon and Cornwall

Originally brought on board to Produce a piece of new writing at a pub in Exeter, the company decided to continue producing new work in new spaces. Our second space was, what is now, The Bike Shed Theatre.

Starting as a support worker, then taking on a cover position teaching Foundation Diploma Drama which lead to associate lecturer position teaching FD and ND Drama and ND Events Management.
