Finn Schubert (he/him) has over 15 years of experience working in LGBTQ+ health, sexual and reproductive health, and HIV care and prevention.A sought-after speaker, trainer, and facilitator, Finn has worked with groups ranging from medical trainees to religious leaders, and has developed trainings on topics ranging from inclusive approaches to abortion access to empowering healthcare staff as advocates, and from transgender inclusion at retreat centers to data literacy for community advocates.He has lectured on trans health at many major medical centers, including Montefiore Medical Center, SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Rutgers, and NYU Langone. His conference presentations include talks at the Philadelphia Trans Wellness Conference, the Society of Teachers of Family Medicine, the American Medical Students Association, and the National Abortion Federation. He has published over a dozen peer-reviewed papers on topics including commentary on pregnancy data for transmasculine individuals, accuracy of reproductive health content for medical trainees, and access to the copper IUD as emergency contraception.Finn currently oversees the expansion of the LGBTQ+ Health & Wellness Center at Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, the fourth-largest publicly-owned hospital in the nation. In close collaboration with the Center's medical director, Dr. Christopher Awwad, in just over a year, Finn brought in nearly $500k in new programmatic funding and oversaw the expansion of the Center from two staff to six, enabling the rollout of innovative wraparound services for patient navigation and access.In addition to his role at BNBMC, Finn serves as a capacity coach with the Transgender Strategy Center, a national nonprofit focusing on providing capacity building, training and coaching to grassroots TGNC-led nonprofits. He has provided coaching and training to nonprofit executives in areas including budgeting and financial infrastructure, program evaluation, and grant preparation.Finn also provides independent consulting services as his time allows.
