Shelf life stability studies followed to determine any significant difference to the control.• Performing in house pilot plant trials to test the acceptable product moisture tolerance levels. • Developed and implemented a new tobacco staining analysis method using the DigiEye imaging system. This introduced quantitative metrics which proved decisive in choosing the best from the next generation of SNUS products. This resulted in providing ‘security of supply’ by qualifying an alternative supplier. • IMI (Incoming Material Inspection) method ownership was handed over to Quality Assurance in Sweden. On-site equipment training and support provided.

All run in accordance with the United Kingdom Accreditation service (UKAS) standards.• Creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and risk assessing of equipment and methods. Preparation of COSHH (Care of Substances Hazardous to Health) assessments for any new chemicals.• Internal auditor of the Environmental (ISO14001) and Quality (ISO9001) management system procedures.

Installation of new PC’s for the Belfast Trust Hospitals. • Auditing the old PC for applications and peripheral devices. Updating the PC database and resolving any user issues

Provided process support for Electroless nickel plating line and was Project Leader to reduce cost and improve process capability.• Introduced waste segregation - Monthly waste reduced from 60K to 30K litres.• Development and installation of new chemistry level probes. Chemical addition repeatability improvement of 8%. • Initial design, development and introduction of temperature controller to Nickel chemistry bleed columns. Capability improvement from a CpK of 0.87 to 1.4.

• Member of the development team making process improvements using six sigma skills (DMAIC). This required multi level co-operation and approval to run experiments and to implement new products.

Responsible for the preparation of Nickel chemistry baths as well as the chemical analysis and subsequent regulation of the chemical reaction with statistical process (SPC) parameters.• Trained up new technicians and supervised process operators.• Determined the shiftly requirements and delegation of tasks. • Maintained the Kanban system for the supply of equipment and raw materials to machines as well as the off loading and storage of semi-finished products.• Cross-trained to operate a number of machines when required.

This required multi-level interaction between management, engineering staff and production operators.
