Fiona is a highly accomplished and inspirational leader with over 40 years of dedicated experience in the third sector. As a Consultant, Coach, and Suicide Prevention Tutor, she is passionate about driving meaningful change and improving outcomes for individuals facing mental health challenges. Throughout her distinguished career, Fiona has been at the forefront of innovative projects, notably spearheading suicide prevention initiatives across Wales.Her achievements include the successful nationwide rollout of Positive Choices for Suicide Prevention and the development and delivery of Mental Health First Aid Wales in collaboration with Mind. Fiona also designed a groundbreaking smoking cessation program tailored for individuals with mental health concerns, which achieved an impressive 60% success rate as verified by Public Health Wales.Fiona's extensive experience encompasses working with autistic individuals without learning disabilities and advocating for their access to mental health support. Commissioned by Mind, she developed a comprehensive toolkit to guide affiliated organizations in effectively serving autistic clients. This toolkit has been disseminated across Mind’s network of 132 partner charities.With over 18 years as a Chief Executive and two decades dedicated to suicide prevention, Fiona brings unparalleled expertise to her role at The National Centre for Suicide Prevention Education & Training CIC. Her leadership has also extended to roles such as Chair of One Mind in Wales, Lead Quality Reviewer for the Mind network, and Non-Executive Director of the Ceredigion Local Health Board. She now serves as a Trustee for Launchpoint, a charity supporting the gliding community.Fiona's academic qualifications include an MSc and a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategic ICT Leadership, a degree in Applied Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) for Personal and Organizational Development, and certifications in Youth and Community work.
