Partner, Emerging Companies & Venture Capital Practice
CurrentFiona Brophy is a partner in the firm's San Francisco office and previously served as the Co-Chair of the firmwide Emerging Companies & Venture Capital practice, as well as Chair of the firm's Partner Compensation Committee. Fiona focuses her practice on providing a broad range of services to emerging companies and venture capital funds in the technology arena, primarily in consumer e-commerce, interactive entertainment, digital media, information technology, enterprise software and cloud infrastructure. She represents start-up companies through all phases of their existence - serving as "virtual" general counsel from formation to venture financing to day to day operations to their ultimate exit. She has represented private companies, venture capital funds, corporate venture funds and family offices in thousands of venture capital financing and private equity transactions, debt financings, complex restructurings and spin-off transactions and she has a robust merger and acquisitions practice, handling both buy and sell-side and cross-border transactions. Fiona was a founding member of the firm's Le[a]dBetter initiative, which seeks to diversify the venture capital eco-system through supporting women entrepreneurs and women venture capital investors.
