I am a registered nurse from Dublin with a wide variety of nursing experience including acute care, emergency, education and research.My nursing career began once I qualified from DCU in 2013 and moved to London where I worked at St George’s hospital in both an AMU and ED.Following this, I took a different route and worked as a clinical research nurse in Beaumont hospital co-ordinating drug trials for MND and MS.I then made the move to Abu Dhabi where I worked in Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi as a staff nurse in acute care and then later as a nurse educator. This was a broad role incorporating various teaching methods while maintaining my clinical and leadership skills. I am currently working in clinical research in the CRF-UCC based in Cork University Hospital. The types of research I work in covers a wide variety of disease but most prominently in cystic fibrosis and non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.I am really interested in the areas of disease prevention and health promotion, and in 2022 I completed a masters in Obesity through the University of Galway.
