Fiona has established a Pan-European retail group within BNP Paribas Real Estate and has helped grow the retail business significantly in the short time she has been here. She and her Team act and provide advice for many International Retailers on global entry and expansion strategies for both downtown locations and transport hubs. She has utilised her talents to assist Airport operators who are increasingly under pressure to enhance performance both financially and operationally and to compete with other Airports domestically and internationally. In order to meet these goals she has recognised there is often a need to seek additional non-aeronautical revenue and to release capital investment. Fiona‘s unique skills have been embraced in recent years by a number of key Airport operators to drive economic development of the Airports and Airport Cities.

Fiona was a member of the UK Retail Board and operated as a Senior Retail Director across the UK and Europe, providing key retail strategy advice and was responsible for delivering a new Group for JLL, TAGI (Transport Airport & Global Infrastructure) which primarily advised transport hubs and airports on retail growth as well as advising retailers on country & territory strategies and entry penetration programmes.

Fiona set up her own practice, Hamilton Glen, which she operated very successfully for a period of 17 years, establishing a new niche retail surveying offer, specialising in all aspects of the retail market including Shopping Centre Development, Asset Management Strategising and International Retail Entry Delivery and Airport Retail Strategies & Revenue Business Plan Advice. She sold this business to King Sturge in 2008.
