I currently have NO job experience. I am 17 years old, and am a Student at the Lake Washington Institute of Technology. I have however had an extreme interest in aviation and its related physics and engineering since I was a very young girl. The idea of using science to defy gravity and ride the wind? Count me in. When I graduate college I aim to become an aeronautical engineer. Of course before applying for an actual career I will probably do an internship or two and network some connections. I currently reside in Washington State, though I plan to relocate to California.I am not currently 100% sure of what I want to do in regards to aeronautical design. I am split between supersonic/hypersonic airliners, military aircraft, and environmentally friendly engines, or some combination. Military aircraft sounds the most exciting, but might make me morally conflicted.For any avgeeks, my favorite plane is the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 "Fishbed". I am well aware that by modern standards it is really not a good plane, but I think it is a good example of making something that can truly stick through the ages and influence the industry for nearing a century. That is the kind of impact I want to make, minus the reputation of a flying coffin of course.
