4th Line Engineer Contract Mar 2018 – Present• Worked as part of a 4th line team providing support to a large Defence customer. • Responsible, as part of a small team, for the design and implementation of a WSUS Patching solution which was successfully rolled out the live system. This included the production of the following:o High level design documentation;o Build and configuration scripts using PowerShell;o Group policy and active directory configuration in support of the solution;o Production of Windows Server 2012 security lockdown based on CIS standards and implemented on standalone servers;o Development of a migration strategy for all environments from development through to the live production system. o Installation and support documentation; • Responsible, as part of a small team, for the design and implementation of a virtual infrastructure solution to support a certificate authority. This work was successfully delivered to the customer within the required timescales. Responsibilities included the production of the following:o Build, configuration and lockdown instructions for an ESXi host running VMware vSphere 6.x. o Build and configuration instructions to produce a Base Windows Server 2012 virtual machine in support of the certificate authority and associated virtual machine;o Security lockdown for standalone Windows Server 2012 virtual machines;o Support and maintenance procedures;o Build and release documentation.
