Hello!My name is Fiona King, I am so glad you have taken the time to view my profile. I'd like to start by saying that other than having the knowledge and experience in an occupation one must be passionate about what they are doing; Media has been my passion since I was a child. Growing up my father would always say to me, "Watch the news for at least 30 minutes a day." When I would ask why, my father responded, “So you know what is happening in the world.” It was not until years later where I fully understood what a great gift I was given. My goal is to spread knowledge, information, and entertainment so that individuals know what is going on in their backyard, state, country, and the world. I can communicate and relate to others very well allowing me to have good people skills. The experiences I have gained throughout the years has given me the ability to assess, relate, and understand the needs and wants of individuals. The Content Specialist role was a great entrance into television news. I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge in production because of the tasks I have conducted while working behind the scenes. As a Promotions assistant, it has allowed me to see the inside of the radio industry. Through the Podcast Producer role, I have a new look on social media and new media. I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience as a News Producer for Wake Up Montana. Producing a 2 hour state wide morning show with 5 reporters has taken my communication skills to new levels. In this role, I have covered an array of areas over the last 2 years. From multiple presidential visits, severe weather coverage including flooding, wildfires, and tornadoes, as well as numerous breaking news stories. I have even implemented a new segment in the show called Wake Up Weekends.
