As a director within the Education team I have the chance to work with students, employers, other professional bodies and educators, and colleagues across ICAS. With a focus on delivering world-class education, particularly relating to tax, my role includes strategic development of our syllabus and courses, ongoing management of courses and tutor teams, identifying and meeting client needs, and working with our Exam Panels and Boards - often all within the space of one week!In recent years I have led the launch of a blended learning programme for the CA qualification and the introduction of a new tax qualification in the UK - the ICAS Tax Professional (ITP). Working with institutes around the globe, I have had the chance to train both tutors and examiners in best practice, including running courses in Uganda and Tanzania. And on occasion I still appear in classes to deliver tax, ethics or case study skills training. As part of the Senior Leadership team I have a role in identifying and developing syllabus content and delivery for the future, and in key client relationship management.
