As Director formerly Chair of this national group for health, I engage with government, clinicians and top civil servants. This challenging work includes many presentations, meetings, dealing with the press, public bodies, Members of Parliament and media, with a limited budget. I act on behalf of the patient and clinical community in advising and influencing the Department of Health and other policymakers. My use of organisational, team leadership and effective time planning skills is paramount, as is the ability to react quickly and engage with many organisations at the same time. I have led a geographically diverse team for the past three years to produce a national health advocacy event, World Kidney Day.

Project Management, marketing, training, needs analysis and development in support of a series of bespoke applications to manage Private Equity business. I worked with 3rd parties such as Crystal to specify, and commission new software to augment the system. I worked with technical staff to test and amend the software plus with senior management to establish and interpret requirements. I developed the training programme, schedule and materials for this project and introduced it to senior users and fund managers across Europe and in the US.

Project managing an intensive Networking/Cisco residential training project for CAP Gemini Ernst Young on behalf of Global Knowledge. This project involved taking junior networking staff from 4 countries and building their networking consultancy skills. IT training consultant, developing business in and providing consultancy to various large accounts.

- A variety of Microsoft and Novell work for different training companies, with excellent customer feedback and plenty of repeat and additional business.- Excel development and consultancy at Siemens Nixdorf. The development of a Sales Forecasting System for some of the sales units using Excel Macros and Visual Basic.- With a colleague, established and ran a support desk at Rank Xerox to follow up on training for 900 users in the whole Microsoft suite, by providing user support and advice. - Participation in a large systems integration project for Digital with the Rover group. Provision of system management and user training on PC systems using Windows-NT and Windows for WorkGroups at all Rover and LandRover dealers. This included one-to-one training on site and training larger groups in classrooms, plus implementation of software upgrades and writing training documentation.

- Recruiting and retaining a team of up to 50 technical specialists- Management and motivation of specialists whose skills ranged from VMS to Unix to end user products- Implementing organisational changes for these people across 2 sites- Planning, managing and achieving the regional software consultancy budget - Receiving the Digital excellence award 3 times - Co-managing the Digital graduate scheme for 2 years running (this scheme won an industry award in 1991)- Development of presentations in support of marketing in new product areas and delivery of presentations, bids and general software support to generate business
