    The amalgamation of the former departments of Queensland Transport and Main Roads necessitated the integration of key systems to fully enable the achievement of corporate goals. This role required strong capability to build relationships within the business as well as with external stakeholders, driving key projects.In a challenging environment, I achieved recognition of the business imperative to progress with a SAP payroll solution to ensure that all divisions were represented on one instance of SAP. This resulted in the Divisional Alignment project, successfully delivered over two phases.I implemented an innovative in-house recruitment solution to ensure impediments to efficient recruitment were removed. Over a twelve month period, this resulted in 1375 recruitment processes to fill 1773 vacancies, attracting 3547 candidates, and 1072 appointments being made. This solution was delivered with a 24 hour turn around to collate applications and provide to the panel chair.

    This role required strong leadership, management and generalist HR consultancy skills, working with all levels of divisional management and staff to resolve complex people management issues and develop and implement strategic activities that guaranteed the long term capacity of regional staff to deliver business outcomes.I developed and implemented a HR strategy that enabled my client region to maintain and further develop a capable organisation. This strategy supported all regional staff in consistently meeting the challenges and achieving the outcomes specified in the divisional, regional and product business plans.I developed and implemented a longitudinal leadership development program for all regional managers and supervisor. This program was measured and evaluated throughout and delivered improved organisational health outcomes in all regional business units, in particular in the areas of workplace harassment, reduction in new WorkCover claims due to workplace stress, and improved commitment to workplace health and safety and wellness at work. Outcomes of the program were published in a refereed journal.I led the divisional Staff Development Officer group in the development of a minimum standard induction process for all divisional employees. This program enabled all governance obligations to be met in the workplace, together with a consistent process being followed throughout the division.
