A key part of the small but incredibly busy national press and communications team, it was vital to be able to balance a number of projects at any one time and work under high levels of pressure. This included but was not limited to: - Account Management - Looking after both internal and external clients. Forming and executing a bespoke communications plan which would help raise awareness and hit targets. For example leading the PR for Guide Dogs Week, the biggest fund and awareness raising week of the year. Generated 291 pieces of coverage which reached 218 million, helping the charity to raise £750,000. - Project Managing a plethora of filming opportunities the biggest of which was the charity's first ever national television documentary. Sourced all content for each of the three, hour-long episodes. Liaised with the film crew and Guide Dogs staff to ensure the needs of both were met. Protected the brand identity of the charity throughout. Safeguarded clients who were filmed. Leading on implication of integrated PR strategy to promote the air dates. The episodes accumulated a total of 9 million viewers, 422 pieces of media coverage which reached 430 million. Trended nationally on Twitter. - Crisis Communications - Acted as a gatekeeper for the charity's reputation. - Editor of the national eNewsletter. A monthly publication with 365,000 subscribers. - Shortlisted for national staff awards: Maximising Impact categoryin 2014 and Trustworthy category in 2015.
