Sitting within the Training Market Quality Division of the Higher Education and Skills Group, this role managed the division's program of planned assurance activities at approximately 350 State Government funded Registered Training Organisations (Training Providers). I led a small team of 6-8 staff undertaking funding and quality assurance reviews and investigations of the performance and potential non-compliance of training providers contracted under the Victorian Training Guarantee (to 2016) and Skills First (from 2017) programs. This included developing methodologies for the conduct of these reviews and investigations, planning and coordinating their conduct, overseeing data analysis to inform the reviews and investigations and determining action required arising from findings of reviews and investigations. The role managed significant contracts and relationships with firms engaged to conduct reviews and investigations.

Reporting to the Director of Safety, Environment and Risk (SER) responsibilities included management of Regulatory reporting requirements in relation to the Rail Safety National Law and stakeholder relationships with the Office of the National Rail Safety Regulator (ONRSR). I also managed the reporting of Safety Environment and Risk information to Public Transport Victoria (PTV), MTR, MTM Board Safety Committee, and the top level Executive of MTM. Internal reporting included written reports and papers, as well as oversight of SER visualisation at the Executive level. As part of my role, I was responsible for the upkeep of SER systems for use by the wider business. This involved management of the changeover of MTM's incident reporting systems to provide a combined system for incidents, investigations, audits and risk.

­Assist in implementation of the Corporate Strategic Safety Plan of the company.­Assist in delivery and implementation of the Metro Trains Melbourne Safety Management System (SMS), including review of the SMS Manual with all levels of management; implementing and reporting to executive level on Divisional Safety Plans across all divisions of the company; delivery and implementation of Safety Responsibilities document detailing the safety responsibilities of all employees, up to and including the executive level of management.­Secretariat duties for the Corporate Safety Management Committee chaired by the CEO and attended by Executive level management.­Ad-hoc tasks for the General Manager, Health, Safety, Environment and Quality, including producing accurate and detailed reports as requested by the executive team; weekly and monthly reporting on SQE division specific tasks; review of Monthly Safety Report to assist with meeting deadlines; quarterly reporting for the Board Safety Committee; administration management for the Board Safety Committee; assisting in review of company wide Document Control Procedure, including implementation.
