Senior Occupational Therapist in the Spinal Cord System of Care (SCSC) Programme at the National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH).I am a dynamic, enthusiastic and self motivated Occupational Therapist. My experience relevant to this role includes skills relating to supervision of Staff Grade Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapy Students and Volunteers, involvement in service development initiatives and commitment to ongoing learning through attendance at relevant training, courses and conferences locally and internationally.

National Rehabilitation Hospital

June 2008 - Jan 2011: Basic Grade OT in Neurorehabilitation at the National Rehabilitation Hospital across Spinal Cord System of Care, Brain Injury and Prosthetic Orthotic & Limb Absence Programmes. Feb 2011 - Jan 2011: Took a leave of absence for 1 year to travel. Worked for 3 months during this time (August - October) as a Rehabilitation Coach in New Zealand at a Laura Ferguson Trust facility in Auckland. Residential & Community based rehabilitation service working with people with a range of neurological conditions.Feb 2012 - July 2012: Basic Grade OT at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in the SCSC & POLAR programme.Aug 2012 - Apr 2013: Acting Senior OT in the SCSC Programme at the NRH.Apr 2013 - date: Acting Senior OT in Discharge Liaison OT (DLOT) at the NRH working across all Programmes in the hospital. The DLOT service provides pre-discharge home visits, advice on housing adaptations, equipment supply and recommendation and functional assessment in the home context.
